Albert Residences is a unique student living development in Worcester that has brought new life to one of the city’s largest, most historic buildings.

Offering 163 modern student rooms in close commuting distance to the university, the property is ideally placed to promote active commuting and our expertise were required to create a shelter befitting of this modern development.

Our solution

After discussing the client’s needs and surveying the site, our team designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke Amazon Eco bike shelter constructed from clear sealed pine.

Providing space for 129 Semi Vertical Bike Racks and a further 28 Sheffield Stands, this high-volume shelter provides extensive convenient parking opportunities for the property’s residents.

Guttering was installed on the shelter to reduce the risk of water damage and a swing gate with digital lock also provides all-important access control for the shelter.

Finally, photovoltaic solar panels were installed onto the shelter’s sizeable roof area, maximising the utility of the space by providing a source of renewable energy creation: further increasing the site’s environmentally friendly credentials.

This shelter is a fantastic demonstration of how our team can deliver a bespoke shelter designed to meet the specific needs of a client.

As with all our wooden shelters, this unit was installed using FSC-certified timber, ensuring this structure supports sustainable forestry.
