Bankside Yards – Internal Bike, E-Bike and E-Scooter Store

Bankside Yards is an extensive new-build development that will deliver eight luxurious mixed-use buildings to the South Bank of London.

Fifty storeys high, the project will provide commercial, residential, and retail space with stunning views across the city; the site will also house a five-star resort hotel.

Bankside Yards’ central location and dedicated well-being area make it ideal for offering cycling opportunities, and it was our privilege to build a bespoke bike parking zone to facilitate this.

Our solution

Following a free site survey, we worked towards the developer’s specifications to design, manufacture and install a custom internal bike store for them.

To help the client achieve BREEAM status for their site, our team delivered 350 Semi Vertical Cycle Rack spaces, a product specifically selected to give high-density bike storage within the limited space available.

The client’s focus on future-proofing their facilities also saw us install options from our electric personal transport storage range, with 100 Semi Vertical E-Bike Racks and 10 E-Scooter Racks provided.

These Semi Vertical E-Bike Racks come with twin-gang 13A 240V plug sockets fixed to a convenient access point so users can securely park and immediately start charging.

A high-security steel locking hoop allows the e-bike’s frame and wheels to be secured, whilst the staggered height racks offer easy accessibility.

Our E-Scooter Racks also come with twin-gang plug sockets mounted to the rear support framework (suitable for either internal or external use) and are designed to take both D-locks and cable locks.

As e-bike and e-scooter usage continues to grow exponentially across Europe, these racks ensure the site is ready for the future of personal transportation.

These products were all installed with a custom jet-black powder coating to deliver a striking contrast to the bright and open wellness suite they occupy.

Having visited the site since the installation, we are delighted with the results of this project and look forward to it delivering secure bike, e-bike, and e-scooter parking long into the future.
