The Impregnable Cycle Shelter is the only cycle shelter to achieve Sold Secure Gold accreditation – the highest tier of independent security certification available for cycle storage, and the only rating specifically engineered to resist a dedicated attack. Where Silver-rated products address the determined thief, Gold addresses a higher threat category entirely. That distinction matters on projects where cycle storage security is not simply a compliance tick but a genuine operational requirement.
 
The construction reflects the rating. An 80SHS galvanised steel framework is internally lined with 358 high-security mesh to all sides and roof, fixed with 5mm clamp plates and Fourtress M8x50mm non-returnable security screws – a fixing system specifically selected to prevent mesh removal without destroying the shelter. The double swing gate uses a welded hasp and staple with a welded security box, three Gatemaster superhinges per gate leaf, and a lockable dropbolt to the top and bottom of the slave gate. Timber cladding to the exterior maintains architectural appeal without compromising the security envelope within.

I was skeptical to begin with (big project costing a lot of money) but all fears were allayed once I started to converse with James and the team. Along with the fact that it wasn't my project to begin with, I had picked it up from someone else who had left the school and had all the quotes.

I found the service offered by The Bike Storage Company professional, accommodating and delivered to timescale. The guys in the office were responsive to emails and actually answered questions regarding the installation and the engineers that came to put up the bike shelter actually took on board site specifics in terms of the student start and finish times and also cordoned off the works to ensure safety. Really great service offered and I'd be happy to come back and get any other projects done in the future which I think the school is planning to do. We've also seen a massive increase in student's that ride to school as well which is great!
